GST Audit Rule Changed

Notification No 74/2018 Central Tax : CGST (Fourteenth amendment) Rules 2018 Dated 31.12.2018 

In the said rules, in rule 101 of CGST Rules 2017, in sub-rule (1), after the words ” financial year “, the words “or
part thereof ” shall be inserted.

Revised Rule 101 of CGST Rules 2017 is as follow  :-

Audit

101. (1) The period of audit to be conducted under sub-section (1) of section 65 shall be a financial year or
part thereof or multiples thereof.

Comment : Thus Audit can be conducted by Tax authorities for Part of Financial year also
